We aren't fitness models, or body builders. We are people who have seen first hand what it takes to make positive changes in our lives. We know that just because the solutions to our health and fitness problems are simple, that doesn't make them easy. Best of all, we know that it can be fun! The Trainers.
Shyla Berger

Shyla's love for fitness wasn't always so prevalent in her life. She struggled to maintain a healthy weight throughout her childhood and teenage years with poor eating habits and an inactive lifestyle, but then discovered kickboxing and became addicted to the sport. After losing almost 70 pounds in a year and a half, the need to help others achieve their fitness goals was realized. Shyla was certified through the Canadian Fitness Professionals and became a Fitness Instructor Specialist and Personal Trainer. She is also certified as a Spin and Kickboxing Instructor.
Her approach to fitness is tough but compassionate, always giving her clients an extra push when needed, and ready with encouragement and enthusiasm. Shyla has worked with a wide range of clients from preteens to older adults, from complete beginners to fitness fanatics looking to be taken to that next level. She found a passion for getting people excited about fitness, and loves being their introduction to the world of healthy and active living. In both her group classes and one-on-one sessions, her fun and energetic approach to exercise is contagious.

Ryan Casselman

Due to a childhood diagnosis of asthma and a bout of scoliosis in his early teens, Ryan found it difficult to maintain an active lifestyle. These conditions, combined with unhealthy eating habits, lead to a fluctuation in both his weight and overall health as he exited his 20's. His “aha moment” came one day when, while at a park with his son, he found that he was not able to keep up. Getting in shape and improving his overall health was a no-brainer, and suddenly the motivation came easily (even though he still can't keep up with his son).
Ryan is certified as a Personal Training Specialist and a Healthy Eating & Weightloss Coach through the Canadian Fitness Professionals. His passion is helping people work with their limitations to achieve what they didn't think was possible. He takes a highly personalised approach to training, with an emphasis on mindfulness and patience with ourselves.
"Ryan is an excellent personal trainer. Trainers can sometimes get stuck into a training regiment which may be good for some but doesn't work for everyone. Ryan tried to get to know me first, to understand my goals. He tailored his routine to meet my needs.
Through every training session, he maintained a comfortable atmosphere where he would push you as hard as you could go but wouldn't be disappointed if you couldn't push anymore. In the span of 3 months, I lost almost 25lbs!" - Rohit
